Brampton's Old Brewery originally opened in 1785 and produced real ale for nearly two centuries before its eventual closure.

In 2006 Fiona Deal established Geltsdale Brewery in a small unit housed within the Old Brewery building in Brampton, Cumbria. Using traditional brewing methods, Geltsdale water, Northern malt and finest hops, Geltsdale Brewery now produces a range of Beers & Lager to suite all tastes.
